Proud to be a part of the Intercontinental Hotels Group family, The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Langley on th Ave, Langley BC, is an 91 rooms hotel located in the heart of Walnut Grove, British Columbia.

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic individual to fill the full time position of a new hybrid position.


Responsibilities

  • Patrol hotel property and parking lot to ensure safety of guests, employees, and hotel assets
  • Reconcile and balance revenue, settlement transactions, perform system End of Day process, and prepare necessary business reports
  • Maintain accurate records while performing basic duties including, but not limited to: camera monitoring, daily shift activity log, lost & found reporting, and all guest or employee interaction
  • Familiarize themselves with evacuation and emergency procedures
  • Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Program and the Regulation of WorkSafe BC.
  • Assist Front Desk with Guest requests and inquiries to the best of their ability
  • Respond to Guest complaints and calls for help.
  • Deescalate challenging situations with guests and / or vagrants. Resorting to RCMP calls only when necessary.
  • Carry out light maintenance tasks such as TV Battery replacement, spa and pool chemical testing and treatment, Furniture fixes / replacements, and assisting guests with room moves.
  • Promote the Guest Experience by being courteous, friendly, professional and helpful to guests and coworkers.
  • Act as manager on duty and respond to emergency situations in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.

You Are.

  • Focused, courteous, and energetic during the overnight shift from 8 PM to 4 AM.
  • Able and willing to work a flexible and reliable schedule, even some afternoon and morning shifts if needed.
  • Committed to following all Local and Corporate Policies and Procedures as they relate to the position.
  • Selfmotivated and have a high degree of analytical ability and confidentiality.
  • Able to lift more than 40 lbs.
  • Passionate about customer care.
  • Someone who excels with interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Able to work both independently and as a team.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize competing demands.

Experience and Requirements:


  • Minimum of 1 year Hotel Guest Services is required.
  • Personal transportation would be considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with Opera PMS would be considered a strong asset.
  • Security Experience would be considered a strong asset.

Job Type:
Part-time


Salary:
$17.00-$21.00 per hour
