This job is both driving and working in the warehouse.

Warehouse Duties/Responsibilities

Loading and offloading trucks for deliveries to the stores, baling
Receives incoming store supplies and verifies that goods correspond to quantities invoiced
Performs all required loading and carriage responsibilities and the related paperwork as directed by the department supervisor
Safely carry, push, pull items that weigh 50 to 100 pounds a mínimal distance of 40 feet
Operate forklift
Operate a baler
Wear safety clothing/equipment at all times
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Physically capable of standing for long periods of time, bending, and pushing heavy loads
Safely work in all weather conditions
Work and handle material in all environments including dust, pet hair/dander, various scents, heat, & cold.

Driving Duties/Responsibilities

Responsible for operation vehicle and equipment according to safety rules and procedures
Responsible for regular transport of materials between stores within the Niagara Region
Occasional home pickups
Safely carry, push, pull items that weigh 50 to 100 pounds a mínimal distance of 40 feet
Maintain trucks and ensure they are operating according to safety standards
Abide by all ministry rules including posted speed limits
Wear appropriate safety clothing/equipment
Safely operate a truck including lift tail gate
Safely operate a vehicle in all weather conditions

Qualifications

Experience driving/operating cube vans, 20 Foot and 26 Foot box trucks
Valid "G" class drivers license with valid insurance
Valid forklift certification an asset
Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions and the ability to adapt to a variety of tasks
Strong customer service and problemsolving skills
Actively support and promote the mission and values of Goodwill Industries Niagara

Job Types:

Salary:
$21.00-$22.00 per hour
