At Gore Mutual, we've always set ourselves apart as a modern mutual that does good. Now, we're proudly building on that legacy to transform our company—and our industry—for the better.

Our path forward sharpens our focus on business performance, driven by leading technology, innovation and an agile, high-performing culture. With Gore Mutual and Beneva announcing their intent to merge in 2026, we'll be uniting two well-established, financially strong, and trusted brands to become the strongest mutual insurer in Canada, ensuring Canadians have purpose-driven insurance options for generations to come. Come join us.

Are you driven by data, inspired by innovation, and eager to shape the future of insurance?

Join a fast-growing Canadian P&C insurer where you'll play a pivotal role in advancing our Corporate Actuarial function. We're building on a solid foundation - powered by cutting-edge technology, a robust enterprise data analytics team, and bold investments in AI. With this groundwork in place our talented team is now focused on scaling and refining our capabilities.

We're looking for an Intermediate Corporate Actuarial Analyst to join our growing team and help us build the next generation of actuarial models and predictive analytics solutions. In this role, you won't just be crunching numbers, you'll be transforming raw data into powerful insights that drive our business forward.

This is an opportunity to directly contribute to our core operations, working alongside a supportive team who are invested in your growth. If you have a passion for data and a desire to see your work make a tangible impact, this role is for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Turn Data into Action: You'll be the architect of our data, taking ownership of the entire process from collection to insight. This includes cleaning, validating, and manipulating complex datasets to unlock meaningful insights for the business. You'll also create compelling reports and dashboards that tell a story with data for internal stakeholders.

  • Innovate with Actuarial Models: Under the guidance of a mentor, you will build and implement actuarial models for a range of challenges. You'll run key actuarial calculations and support stress-testing and scenario analysis to ensure our models are robust and reliable.

  • Drive Financial Integrity: You'll play a crucial role in our financial reporting, helping to ensure we meet all regulatory compliance for quarterly and annual statements, reserves, and capital requirements.

  • Invest in Your Future: We're committed to your professional development. You'll engage in project-specific research to continually grow your skills and have the unique opportunity to collaborate with our Claims and Finance departments.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Education & Exams: Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics, with strong progress toward the CAS credential. Completion of CAS preliminary exams (Exams 1–4, including VEEs and all required modules) is preferred.

  • Experience: You have at least 2 years of actuarial experience in P&C or Life Insurance, through a combination of co‑op and/or full‑time positions.

  • Technical Skills: You possess a solid technical foundation and programming skills. You have experience with modern actuarial modeling techniques and the ability to build models from scratch.

  • Core Competencies: You have excellent analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills. You are highly analytical and can conduct detailed data analysis to implement the best solutions in a timely manner. You are eager to learn and highly skilled at working with data.

  • Bonus Knowledge: A working knowledge of IFRS17, FCT, Reinsurance, Economic Capital Modelling, and Financial Planning is preferred.

If you're ready to be a core part of our mission and make a tangible impact from day one, we want to hear from you.

Hybrid: We are a hybrid company and work 2 days per week in-office.
