    As the Manager, Corporate Driver Training, the ultimate goal of your role is to ensure that the province-wide operation supports the strategic direction of Driver Education. This includes the delivery of day-to-day operations, revenue generation, expense control, profitability and development of new initiatives.

  • WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Report to the Senior Manager, Driver Education.
  • Support AMA's Driver Education strategies and plans, providing direction to employees to help them deliver on these strategies in their everyday interactions and activities.
  • Live our culture of treating others just like family and friends while maintaining high engagement and retention levels within your team.
  • Meet/exceed sales and revenue budgets while balancing expenses.
  • Develop new data reporting (Operations, budget, and revenue) to support operational goals.
  • Ensure quality delivery of Corporate Driver Training programs to clients.
  • Incorporate the consultive sales approach to cultivate and maintain existing client relationships, and maximize current relationships to leverage new opportunities.
  • Review classroom and online programs to ensure the Corporate Driver Training curriculum remains up-to-date and relevant based on Alberta Transportation Standards and customer feedback.
  • Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition and rewards, and regular performance review.
  • Acitvely monitor and manage instructor production levels to ensure the quality of service delivered.
  • Keep our clients/members happy through operational excellence, quality service and delivering timely communication.
  • Work with AMA Marketing and HR to advertise through various channels, including social media and our existing contractors.
  • Be able to travel extensively at times to meet with the DE team, members, and customers in various communities across the province.
  • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule as some evening and weekend work is required (rarely) that falls outside of normal business hours.
  • WHAT YOU'VE DONE

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • A university degree or post-secondary diploma in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience is considered an asset.
  • You have at least five years of experience in management/leadership roles with performance management (goal setting, measuring, monitoring and execution skills).
  • You have at least three years of account management experience.
  • Experience within the transportation or driver education industries is an asset.
  • Experience with budget creation is highly desired.
  • You have a track record of data-driven decisions and analytical experience.
  • You've proven that you know how to get high-quality results even within tight timelines.
  • You hold a valid Class 5 License.
