We are currently looking for an
IT PMO Project Management Office (PMO) Coordinator to join our Project Management team in a
Temporary Position (12 Months).

Reporting to the Manager, Tech PMO - Project Delivery, you will join a dynamic group of responsive Project Managers and Scrum Leaders to support delivery of enterprise technology enabled projects.

In our move towards a digital utility, we are transforming our project delivery practice through the introduction of an agile delivery framework.

The Technology Project Management Office Coordinator will share the overall accountability for the success of Nova Scotia Power's Technology PMO towards a greener future.

The coordinator will work with Project/Program Managers, and Scrum Leaders to assure data entered into the enterprise project management systems are of sufficient quality.


Specific accountabilities include:


  • Providing administrative support and coordination to the Technology PMO.
  • Tracking and monitoring contracts for vendor services used by the Technology PMO including renewals, expiries, and remaining contract values.
  • Processing Master Service Agreements (MSA) and Statements of Work by following financial and PMO processes, including initiation and coordination of contracts for review, approval and signatures while liaising with vendors.
  • Processing the full payment cycle for the Technology Project Management Office, including initiating purchase requisitions and purchase orders and timely payment of invoices.
  • Collaborating with project managers, scrum leaders, financial analyst, and procurement leads, and others to provide information in a timely manner to ensure prompt delivery of goods and services.
  • Reconciling supplier accounts and reviewing vendor statements as required.
  • Working closely with project managers and scrum leaders to submit a comprehensive monthly package of project profiles and accruals. Document meeting minutes, produce action plans and followup on action items.
  • Identifying, recommending, implementing improvements for processes and systems used by the Technology PMO.
  • Collaborating and interfacing with the Technology PMO team and their stakeholders, including vendors, the information technology team, finance, procurement, and accounts payable.
  • Ensuring efficient and effective planning and coordination of requirements across the supply chain to minimize cycle time in supply and acquisition.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders from both capital and investment planning and project delivery. This would include supporting and collaborating on financial forecasting (profiles and accruals), program and project prioritizations, as well as collaborating with vendors on contracts, Statements of Work, service agreements and other related legal or procurement activities that impact the Technology PMO.
  • Being responsible for your personal safety and that of your coworkers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations. You will be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the environmental management system processes and initiatives.

Skills, Capabilities and Experience:

You are comfortable with working on multiple projects and managing priorities. You have effective communication and strong organizational skills.

You are a self-starter who has the willingness and ability to learn new processes and to also present ways for us to continuously improve processes.

You have strong analytical and quantitative skills and are attentive to detail. You are a team player with strong interpersonal skills and a sound knowledge of current office procedures and possess proficient
