Job Summary

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Packer to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently preparing products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop warehouse management skills within a dynamic environment, contributing to the smooth flow of goods from stock to delivery.

Duties

• Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper packing and protection of products for transit
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to load and unload goods
• Utilise the warehouse management system to track inventory, update stock levels, and process orders
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
• Pick items accurately according to order specifications and pack them securely for dispatch
• Stock shelves and organise storage areas to optimise space utilisation
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards before packing
• Perform mechanical tasks related to packing machinery maintenance or troubleshooting as needed
• Load and unload lorries efficiently, adhering to health and safety regulations

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehousing, shipping & receiving, or related roles is desirable
• Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is advantageous
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is preferred
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking, packing, and stock organisation
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with packing machinery is a plus
• Good understanding of quality control procedures within a warehouse environment
• Prior experience in stock management or warehouse operations will be beneficial
