Accounting Technician
Sahah Naturals is currently in search of a dynamic and proactive individual to join our team as an Accounting Technician for our range of health food brands.
This position presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a rapidly expanding portfolio within the natural food industry and play a vital role in our finance operations.
In the role of Accounting Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of accounting and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute general accounting and administrative tasks, demonstrating proficiency in the entire accounting cycle
- Manage Accounts Payable processes, overseeing invoice processing, reconciliation, and ensuring timely payments
- Manage Accounts Receivable activities, including invoice generation and followups
- Record monthly accounting entries for suppliers (invoices and payments)
- Record monthly accounting entries for sales (invoices and receipts)
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting and financial closings
- Support the Controller in daytoday accounting activities
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Generate and file GST/QST reports accurately and punctually
- Maintain, monitor, and reconcile GL accounts to ensure accuracy
- Identify and address issues and discrepancies, collaborate to develop resolutions
- Provide support for adhoc financial projects as needed
Requirements:
- University degree (or equivalent) in accounting
- Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in accounting roles
- CPA Designation is an asset.
- Solid understanding of the complete accounting cycle
- Experience with Quickbooks desktop is preferred
- Proficient in Excel and Google Suite
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, adaptability, attention to detail, and accuracy
- Capable of working efficiently, either independently or as part of a team, and meeting tight deadlines
- Driven by a passion for the work and the industry
- Bilingual in written and spoken communication (English/French)
Hours: 8:00AM - 4:00PM, Monday to Friday
Location:
Lachine, QC
Hybrid:3 Days in Office, 2 days WFH
Salary:
$50,000
