Reporting to the Digital Media Manager, the Digital Media Specialist is responsible for planning and managing media campaigns and affiliate initiatives with aggregators (bankingproduct comparison sites) for several business lines with the goal of increasing digital consideration and acquisition.

The specialist will work closely with agencies and partners to meet fixed objectives while serving as a media expert and ensuring that best practices are applied to position National Bank as a digital leader.

The role requires an enterprising attitude focused on performance and data, trial-and-error learning (test, learn, refine), and a client-centric approach.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that digital media campaigns are consistent and aligned with agencies in order to achieve consideration and acquisition objectives
  • Manage the partnership with aggregators (banking product comparison sites) to activate affiliations, and coordinate and monitor the initiatives to be launched
  • Provide strategic and operational recommendations to meet acquisition objectives while being costeffective
  • Monitor performance and plan the budget regularly while following product seasons and maximizing opportunities
  • Demonstrate the impact of optimizations to internal teams: prepare weekly performance monitoring and monthly reports, and present results and observations
  • Work with other media experts, digital partners, audiences, and analytics teams to identify opportunities as a group, share optimizations, and ensure that processes are standardized across teams
  • Work with our creative agencies and internal graphic designer to design our digital marketing efforts in line with best practices and new developments
  • Give your expert advice on supporting and guiding media transformation projects in collaboration with the Media Manager
  • Keep abreast of new technology and practices to seize new opportunities

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 4 years of experience managing digital media campaigns
  • Indepth knowledge of campaign management and partner relationships for meeting acquisition objectives
  • Thorough knowledge of the advertising business, media buying and optimization on platforms for paidsearch, social, display, video, and affiliation channels
  • Experience with digital purchasing platforms (Google Campaign Manager, DV360, Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, etc.) and direct partnerships (aggregators, La Presse, Bell Media, CBC, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics, an asset
  • Leadership skills and a proactive attitude
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and promote new ideas based on data
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills able to work in a large, matrixbased organization
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will frequently interact with service providers or partners who speak a language other than French
