This posting is for 1 full-time Temporary position up to 18 months _


As the Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you will be responsible for using your strong technology skills and process knowledge of talent acquisition and recruiting practices to support the Talent Acquisition Team at Strathcona County.

You will support the end-to-end recruitment and hiring process, talent acquisition programs and initiatives and be the focal on reporting and analytics.


Using your strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures, you will work independently, shift and pivot to adapt to an ever-changing work environment and contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement initiatives across the team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct reference checks
  • Facilitate prehire activities, including educational verification and background checks
  • Work within the applicant tracking system (Oracle) to assist the talent acquisition team with resume screening, phone screening, offer letters, follow up etc.
  • Coordinate campus program activities, including job postings, career fairs, information sessions etc.
  • Support the Talent Acquisition team by building and managing talent pipelines for administrative, technical and/or hardto fill positions within Oracle
  • Assist in the development of recruitment tools, including prescreening and interview guides, job advertisements, interview tools, training documentation etc.
  • Develop training tools for Oracle recruitment users (Recruiters, HR, hiring managers)
  • Compile data for talent acquisition reporting, create and manage recruitment dashboards/metrics
  • Track job board accounts and job board effectiveness
  • Update and maintain sourcing/job board database

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong critical thinking and problemsolving skills are required to manage interview schedules, research recruitment sources, understand advertising requirements, conduct research
  • Ability to identify, research and escalate more complex issues
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and work with a high degree of discretion and tact in handling confidential matters
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and anticipate needs and work under pressure within strict timelines
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, negotiate priorities on short notice and promptly adapt to an ever
- changing work environment

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and present data
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, the ability to provide a high level of customer service to the public, County employees and the department

Qualifications

  • Completion of a diploma in Human Resources, Business, Management or equivalent, plus 1+ year of progressive related experience
  • Indepth knowledge of HR policies, staffing processes and procedures, employment terms and conditions and talent acquisition practices
  • Strong computer skills and technical aptitude with the ability to operate in multiple systems, including HRIS (Oracle), Excel (advanced), SharePoint etc.
  • Experience with Applicant tracking systems is preferred
  • Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. _
