Sales Incentive & Strategy Operator


This opportunity mines and sorts commercial sales OGS reconciled data provided into a logical format for our global IT partners, Director of Commercial Operations, and VP of Sales, also verifying annual sales incentive plan (SIP) payments for all eligible employees under the Canadian Short-term Incentive Plan (SIP).


The position also supports the commercial sales group with grower and retail strategy discussions and provide Regional Account Sale Managers (RASMs), Territory Sales Managers (TSMs), and Inside Sale Representatives (ISRs) guidance in order to build performance culture within their teams through identification and execution of opportunities, internal systems and tools, best practices, and training.


To ensure the highest level of customer service and product knowledge to our retail, grower, and internal customers, this role will also lead internal projects and help to maintain system operations.

Bayer is committed to a flexible hybrid working environment. This is a 12-month term position.


What you will do:


  • Provide support to the commercial sales force to maximize use of our global Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) tool through collaboration with multiple leads to ensure clear focus groups and executable user acceptance (UAT) testing periods are completed in a timely manner for annual SIP payments
  • Collaborate with Sales Effectiveness Manager, Market Development, SeedGrowth, and Marketing Communications teams to ensure the proper development, signoff, and dissemination of product knowledge and internal training to commercial sales staff
  • Provide continuous support for the commercial sales force to ensure the accuracy of internal sale hierarchies within CRM. Work with the IT team on behalf of the commercial sales force to ensure the effectiveness of processes and hierarchies within CRM and standard operating procedures
  • In alignment with the Sales Effectiveness Manager s direction, assist in leading weekly team reports, updating product knowledge within internal systems, and day to day tactics of the Inside Sale Representatives (ISRs) and Product Support Centre during in season
  • Other financial magnitudes: Provide global leading support within our Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) tool to our internal commercial sales force. Support commercial sale force in order to identify and focus on training initiatives and behaviors that will benefit top line growth the most. Lead development of enhanced tools and support that will free up time for the commercial sales force to focus more on bottom line initiatives. Lead strategies to increase the top line growth of Bayer Crop Science through various tools and initiatives and analyze return on investment of these initiatives and tools

Who you are:


  • B A/BSC in an agricultural/business/science related field
- experienced in sales or marketing

  • Specific experience with data mining and market research is an asset
  • Ability to effectively manage timelines
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize effectively
  • Strong project leadership skills and experience
  • Thorough comprehension of tailored data analytics
  • Highly effective with collaboration and teamwork
  • Technically adept in excel and detail oriented
  • Ability to effectively analyze data and provide strategy
  • Customer focused
