Geotech Drilling is a dynamic international drilling company seeking capable Drill Assistant's to join our team.

Geotech owns and operates state-of-the-art drilling equipment throughout western Canada. We are one of Canada's largest geotechnical, environmental and exploration drilling companies, with a fleet of over 50 rigs.

One of the key advantages Geotech has over its competition is the wide range of drilling and specialized sampling services the company offers.

We can do everything from helicopter portable sonic drilling to cone penetration testing

Key Responsibilities**- Continuously prepare and supply the driller with tooling and materials necessary to maintain the drilling operations.

Handle drill rods and casing, core tubes and core samples.
Maintain and organize appropriate inventory levels of necessary materials, supplies and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.
Assist the Driller, client and other team members where required.
Regular and repetitive lifts of 5090 lbs.

Professional Experience / Qualifications

Must maintain and possess a valid Class 7 or 5 Driver's Licence
:

Have 13 years experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling is an asset.
Have the mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment an asset.
Complete and pass a preemployment drug & alcohol test.
Have experience working in the field, in remote and/or varied weather conditions for extended periods of time.
