Overview:


The Warehouse & Tire Line Supervisor oversees all warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving materials or goods, maintaining stock levels, recording warehouse information and the production on the tire line.

In terms of managing warehouse personnel, a warehouse supervisor trains new employees, assigns work, evaluates individual reports, and resolves performance issues.

More specifically, this position will be responsible for activities including but not limited to the following:


Responsibilities:


  • Ship/receive goods and materials. Check quality and quantity and record any discrepancies.
  • Ensure goods are stored in designated areas of the warehouse.
  • Supervise loading and unloading operations. Check that the bill of loading, invoices and load sheet have been completed.
  • Supervise the operation of forklifts and pallet trucks.
  • Supervise the production on the tire line.
  • Create a safe working environment and use PPE.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse.
  • Assist branch management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures.
  • Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of warehouse and tire line employees, and drivers.
  • Supervise the counting, weighing and identification of parts for shipment.
  • Verify parts against customer pick ticket.
  • Perform daily inspections of warehouse equipment and grounds.
  • Ensure regular and proper maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Verify that all inventory has a storage location, both physically and electronically.
  • Other related duties may be assigned to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications
Education Level

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Languages Required

  • English.

Knowledge & Experience

Years of experience:

  • Over 5 years' work experience in warehouse supervision.
  • Experience of supply chain production.
  • Experience in staff supervision and coaching.
  • Ability to manage performance and discipline in the workplace.
  • Forklift driving experience and certification.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
  • Calm and thoughtful behavior to solve problems and deal with a variety of issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to delegate.
  • Team spirit, versatility, autonomy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Efficient and professional behavior in dealings with customers and employees.
  • Physical stamina, manual dexterity, and ability to lift and move loads up to 20kg.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends, as required.
Knowledge

  • Previous warehouse and production supply chain experience and the ability to execute initiatives and manage projects effectively is required for this position.
