The Billing Analyst - Team Lead is located in Markham, ON and typically reports directly to the Assistant Controller or designate.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Lead the team of Billing Analysts to meet monthly deadline requirements
  • Implementation of continuous process improvements
  • Process, analysis, and circulation of financial reports
  • Creation and analysis of data integrity reports
  • Coordinating processes with multiple regions
  • Coding and reconciling payments to JDE
  • Accurate invoicing of customers, therefore reducing the number of complaints from customers regarding billing errors
  • Preparing of documentation to assist Accounts Receivable/Payable (e.g., Invoices, Purchase Orders, etc.)
  • Inputting and reconciling payroll data for hourly employees
  • Timely review, printing, and delivery of invoices
  • Engage partners in billing, A/R management, and collections activities
  • Assist the manager in planning and scheduling
  • Assist with material/equipment procurement
  • Productivity reports
  • Ability to analyze financial data
  • Manage JDE Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Handle customer calls in a polite and efficient manner
  • Ability to work in a multitasked, fastpaced, and changing environment
  • Documentation control— manage photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing, and filing
  • Investigate process systems/processrelated problems/inquiries and recommend solutions as part of internal strategic initiatives
  • Responsible for project administration tasks, including coordinating meetings, taking meeting minutes, compiling monthly reports, forwarding communication releases, and performing maintenance of project tracking logs (i.e., issues, change, control, etc.)
  • Cost control
  • Onboarding and training of new and existing staff
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 35 years' experience in facilities services management/administration
  • 7+ years' experience in accounting and/or relevant financial management experience (e.g., billing, A/R management, etc.)
  • 2+ years' experience leading a team

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong understanding of endtoend financial processes including a numerical aptitude
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Selfstarter with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
