The project site located in Windsor, Ontario is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical and dependable
Site Cost Controller to join the project team for an eleven (11) month contract.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Project Manager, and the Site Cost Controller will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating the operation of accounting and finance for the project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide support to project managers in the areas of cost control and financial management
Conduct cost analysis and provide cost control strategies
Monitor expenses while comparing to projected budgets and making adjustments as necessary
Develop and maintain project budgets and cost control systems
Collaborate with departments to ensure costeffective decisionmaking
Prepare and present cost reports to management
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to budget and expense management
Track project costs and identify variances
Provide regular cost reports to project teams and stakeholders
Control project cost accounts, coordinate their opening and closing according to the schedule and project status.
Ensures financial integrity and timely financial data reporting
Prepares external financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Tracking of additional work through project tracking systems
Ensures responsibilities and accountabilities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with E.S.Fox Ltd. safety policy/procedures, ISO 18001 standards and OHSA requirements.
Ensures that environmental aspects within his/her sphere of responsibility are adhered to pursuant to ISO 14001 requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Demonstrated understanding of job costing and project tracking systems

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a cost control capacity, or related field
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Ability to summarize data from financial databases
Previous construction site experience is preferred
