If you are a graduate who is dynamic and motivated to be part of a great team, we want to hear from you We are currently looking for a graduate or someone with 1 to 2 years' experience that would like to work in

As a Junior Project Technician, you will report to the Head of Engineering in Bolton for the Ontario Region. The position will be responsible for producing
AutoCAD drawings and material lists for customers. You will learn to provide design and technical assistance working closely with the engineering and sales team.


Responsibilities:


  • Works with sales to produce AutoCAD drawings during the proposal stage of a project and finalizes working drawings for site use.
  • Ensures that the drawings indicate the proper use of Doka Canada forming equipment and represent safe, economical, and efficient designs.
  • Provides material lists for quotations and shipments to the site.
  • Ensures that the work is designed using available inventory and conforms to contractual guidelines.
  • Participates in job site visits. Identifies any improper implementation and can take action ensuring corrective measures are immediately implemented.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned, such as participating in various company committees/teams.
  • Ensures safe working practices and a safe working environment.

Qualifications:


  • A Graduate from an architectural, civil, or construction engineering technology program holding a post secondary education in either a technical drafting/design program preferably or university degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years' experience in Canada the construction/ engineering industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Ontario Building Code is preferred.
  • Able to read blueprints is preferred.
  • Qualitative abilities including strong analytical and effective problem solving skills, technical proficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Organized team player able to work in a deadline driven, fastpaced environment.
