    Maintenance Technician

    Duties:
    As directed by the Maintenance Manager, responsible for all aspects of maintaining and preventative maintenance of all equipment related to all plant-wide processes and any other general maintenance requirements. Will be responsible for providing clear departmental direction in areas such as personnel, purchasing, vision and goal accomplishment, preventative practices, relationships with other areas, safety, and levels of quality.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Follow, without exception, all work instructions and safety policies, including the use of all PPE and safety equipment.
    • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.
    • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning production equipment which includes labeling machines, conveyors, pumps and hydraulic systems, etc.
    • Routinely clean, inspect and lubricate all production equipment and support good housekeeping standards.
    • Accomplish all work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease product write-off; improve quality standards; and improve plant efficiency.
    • Setup and change out auxiliary equipment ie. Conveyors and labeling machines
    • General facility maintenance.

    Qualifications:
    • Certificate in either mechanical, electrical, millwrighting, or equivalent.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
    • Strong written & oral skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement.

    Preferred Experience in the following areas:
    • Previous experience in manufacturing maintenance.
    • Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematic drawings.
    • Experience in fabricating and welding.
    • Computer maintenance management system (CMMS) experience.

    Working hours:
    • 10 hour shifts with rotation between days / afternoons and weekends
