About the Role
We are looking for a driven and dynamic accounting leader to join and help shape the future of VIFC.

Reporting to the CEO, the Controller will undertake all aspects of the accounting cash cycle, including cash management, budgeting, and accounts receivables/payable, as well as development of internal control policies, systems, and procedures.

The Controller will play a highly visible and integral role in the development and growth of VIFC. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to deliver high-value work within a small and agile leadership team.


Responsibilities

  • Manage all cash management and accounting operations, including billing, payroll, A/R, A/P, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting
  • Assist in the annual budget process and monitor performance against budgets
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements for the executive team and the board
  • Monitor, forecast and coordinate all cash management functions to manage the working capital of the business
  • Lead and oversee the annual financial audit
  • Advise on strategies to maintain and improve the financial health of the organization
  • Conduct meaningful and proactive analysis to improve key business decisions
  • Oversee the growth of the financial function as the business grows, responsible for managing the financial team

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field
  • Professional accounting certification (CMA, CA, or CPA)
  • Minimum of 57 years of proven accounting experience
  • Payroll tax experience
  • An interest and ability to work in a startup culture
  • Advanced MS Office skills including data extraction and financial modelling
  • Experienced with integrated financial software packages (ERP) and a passion for technology
  • Process oriented and obsessive over details you take pride in knowing all the details and ensuring accuracy
  • Solutions focused mindset with a desire to improve processes
