Synthetic Organic Chemist:


We are currently looking for Synthetic Organic Chemists who will be able to perform complex and diverse organic synthesis, purifications, and characterization under the supervision of Head, R&D.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop lab procedures based on literature review and selfknowledge to develop and create new synthesis routes and technologies for targeted organic molecule
  • Develop analytical methods and interpret data to characterize the synthesized molecules using NMR, HPLC, GCMS, LCMS, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all analytical work and present findings in a wellorganized manner to the team
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies in chemical synthesis
  • Positively represent the Company values at all times while keeping in mind departmental goals.
  • Perform market research and regular competitor monitoring

Qualifications:


  • A PhD in Chemistry with 03 years' experience or an MS degree in chemistry with a minimum of 5 years of experience in organic synthesis including synthetic methodology, catalysis, and/or total synthesis along with a proven track record of solving problems.
  • Strong interest in synthetic organic chemistry with a hardworking mindset.
  • Understands the physical and chemical properties of raw materials, intermediates, and reagents, and have the ability to select appropriate reaction conditions by referring to literature.
  • High proficiency with thin layer chromatography, column chromatography, recrystallization, and other regular purification methods.
  • Strong knowledge of organic chemical reactions and mechanisms.
  • Experience in Flash Chromatography, Column purification and TLC, HPLC, LCMS, and NMR characterization of reaction products
  • Work on a number of different projects of varying lengths and complexity.
  • Keeps a complete and accurate record of all observations, measurements, techniques, procedures, and conclusions in the laboratory notebook.
  • Good communication and learning skills.
  • Strong teamwork ability with a sense of responsibility with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Should have a strong passion for the discovery of targeted therapies/API in a fastpaced startup environment. Selfmotivated and ability to work with mínimal supervision.

Salary:
$70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
