Cocoabeans is a dedicated gluten-free kitchen and bakery located in Winnipeg, MB. Serving wholesale and retail customers across Manitoba. We're dedicated to making allergy friendly foods without compromising taste. With our busiest seasons just around the corner we are looking for a seasonal cook to join our dedicated production kitchen.
Shifts would vary based on the production needs of the kitchen. Training shifts are 2pm

  • 10pm or 12pm8pm Tuesday through Friday. Some Saturdays 8am 4pm will be required.


This position will be assisting in the manufacturing of our hand breaded chicken tenders, made from scratch pot pies, soups, lasagna, croutons and seasonal items.

Other duties will include, but are not limited to, packaging and labelling products, quality control, washing dishes, receiving orders, and maintaining cleanliness of the production area.


  • Reside in Canada and have strong written and verbal English skills.
  • Have at least 2 years experience in a commercial kitchen. Prep cooking experience is required.
  • Communicate effectively and read recipes accurately.
  • Have basic knowledge of what it means to maintain a glutenfree or vegan diet.
  • Demonstrate an attention to detail specifically when it comes to managing allergens inside the kitchen.
  • Have a desire to learn different cooking methods and experiment with new ingredients.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and selfmotivation.
  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt and be flexible
  • The ability to keep a neat and clean work station. Safe food handling and sanitation standards. Food handlers certificate is an asset.
  • The ability to give and take constructive feedback
  • Have experience working efficiency and independently
  • Contribute to a respectful working environment
  • Take pride in their work and accomplishments
  • Be a strong team player who embraces collaboration
30+ hours per week


Salary:
$14.15-$16.00 per hour

Experience:


  • Cooking: 2 years (required)

  • Food Handler Certification (preferred)
