Summary of Duties:Reports to the Supervisor, Custodial Services or designated Supervisor.

Performs custodial duties at City of London facilities.

Work Performed:

Performs a variety of custodial duties to maintain safe and sanitary conditions.
Responsible for floor care, including sweeping, polishing, stripping and waxing floor finishes. Cleans and sanitizes walls, partitions, fixtures, and furniture, and empties waste and recycling receptacles.
Cleans washrooms and ensures supplies are available.
Moves furniture and supplies as required.
Shovels snow as required, spreads ice chaser and maintains building entrance ways.
Responsible for cleaning exterior of buildings, and ensuring that the grounds are clean and litter free, including disposing of dead birds and small animals, as required.
Sets up and tears down furniture and equipment in training, committee, and meeting rooms and lobby areas for various functions.
Assists other trades people in their work.
Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

Experience:

Six months of previous related experience is required.

Specialized Training & Licenses:

Skills and abilities in the following areas are necessary:
Previous WHMIS training is an asset.
Valid Class G Driver's Licence is required.

SHIFT WORK MAY BE REQUIRED

Compensation & Other Information:

$38,013 - $55,220 (Level 6)

This posting is for one permanent full-time position.

Current hours of Work:
Monday - Friday from 4:30pm - 12:00am. Shift work may be required.

In office
