Your role


As Administrative Assistant, you will assist the Senior Director, ICI RDI and Documentaries (French Services), in organizing and coordinating her activities.

More specifically, you will keep management agendas, based on priorities; answer phone calls; prepare and organize departmental meetings and conference calls; draft minutes; and produce various documents and PowerPoint presentations.

You will also make travel arrangements, process invoices, and order office supplies.

You will work directly with highly confidential and sensitive information related to the News and Current Affairs division.


In addition, you will need to establish and maintain good working relationships with the organization's various components, as well as with other senior CBC/Radio-Canada management departments and all internal/external contacts.- Community college diploma or equivalent- Five (5) or more years' wide-ranging executive-level administrative support experience- Excellent organization skills; ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to last-minute changes- Resourcefulness and ability to work with little supervision, while demonstrating initiative, thoroughness, and attention to detail.

High degree of independence- Good general knowledge, keen interest in current events, and knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada's structure and key contacts is a desirable asset- Discretion to perform all duties with complete confidentiality- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team- Ability to provide a high standard of client service, while being assertive when required- Proficiency with Google Suite- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)- Knowledge of various web tools (search engines, portals, etc.)- Excellent proficiency in French- Excellent writing skills with strong verbal communication skills- Excellent proficiency in English- Willingness to work beyond normal office hours on occasion.

Work hours are 9 am to 5 pm but some flexibility might be required for follow-ups
