Brawn Construction provides general contracting services, specializing in commercial and institutional fit-ups and renovations. Some of our clients include the Federal Government, City of Ottawa, private businesses and retail customers.

Job Summary:
Brawn Construction is searching for a Skilled Labourer/Carpenter to join our talented and growing team. The environment is fast-paced and suited for those who like to take charge. A Valid G-class Drivers license is required for this role.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Sub-trades, and Customers.
Review plans and ensuring a thorough understanding of project scope and specifications.
Plan, organize, and execute the work to fit within project timelines.
Build and maintain positive and trusting relationships with clients and subtrades.
Identify and troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions.
Pick up and transport material to job sites across the city.
Ensure safety standards are being adhered and report concerns to supervisor.
Follow instructions from Site Supervisor to perform manual labour tasks.

Job Requirements:

24 years of commercial carpentry experience.
Valid G class drivers license and clean driving record.
Post secondary education.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Proficiency using power tools.
Self directed with ability to work and think independently as well as be a team player and take direction from multiple site supervisors on various projects.
Ability to juggle multiple and competing priorities.
Secret Clearance or ability to obtain Secret Clearance with PWGSC.
Safety Certifications (WHMIS, Working At Heights, etc).
Excellent English communication in skills.
Commercial experience is preferred

Our office is in Carlington and our projects are based all around the city of Ottawa.
