Production Manager - West Lincoln, Canada - Client in West Lincoln Area

Description

• Lead and manage the supervisors of all the production in the plant
• Organize production workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
• Production planning to ensure the necessary resources (workforce, inventory, supplies, etc.) are available to support daily production requirements
• Work with 3rd parties as needed to ensure production inputs and outputs (waste, finished product) are scheduled properly
• Drive continuous improvement across the departments to minimize waste in yield, labor, downtime, etc.
• Track production metrics and standards to evaluate daily performance and improvements
• Prepare weekly reports for the Plant Manager to summarize results against planned outcomes
• Work with Maintenance to optimize equipment, reduce downtime, and ensure operators are well trained in their areas
• Work with Quality to ensure quality standards. Subject matter expert and resource to the larger Quality Program and HACCP team member
• Liaise with HR ad H&S to implement training programs to ensure the labor talent is competent and excel in their duties in a safe environment.

• Several years of progressive experience in a processing plant
• Postsecondary education and professional qualifications to compliment work experience
• Teaching and coaching strategies for a diverse workforce
• Problem solving and critical thinking
• Energetic and excellent time management skills
