Maitland site produces DYTEKA amine, a chemical intermediate used globally in products such as polyamide plastics, fibers, adhesives, curing agents, polyurethanes, vitamins, pharmaceuticals, and epoxy resins.

Maitland Site also operates Cogeneration Units, a Hydrogen Plant and Utilities operation.

INVISTA's Maitland site located in Eastern Ontario is currently seeking a
Temporary Heavy Equipment / Site Services Operator to join our team as soon as possible on a 6-month contract.

What You Will Do

Operation of heavy equipment and trucks used in materials movement by both rail and road (Diesel locomotive, Track Mobile, Shunt Trucks, Payloader)
Performing operations in a DYTEKA amine and DCH99 drum filling operation
Responsibility for grounds maintenance (snow clearing and lawn mowing)
Perform mechanical inspections, repair and perform minor maintenance on all machinery and equipment.
Operating twoway radios and other communication equipment
Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience as a heavy equipment operator
Prior experience operating motor vehicles
Demonstrate a basic knowledge and satisfactory level of mechanical comprehension.
Physical condition and health compatible with duties of this role
Able to work in a tobacco free environment

What Will Put You Ahead

Previous manufacturing experience
Transportation of Dangerous Goods experience
Experience operating any of the following equipment:
Payloader, trackmobile, diesel locomotive, puller tractor, sand and salt trucks, snow plows, forklifts, tractors and lawn maintenance equipment.
