We are seeking an experienced
Plumbing Foreman to join the OPM team at one or more of our projects in the Greater Vancouver Area.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead, train and work with the plumbing crew including Lead hands, Journeypersons and Apprentices
  • Perform the duties of a Red Seal Plumber when required
  • Assign, plan and schedule tasks for lead hand, journeyman plumbers and apprentices
  • Create a safe workplace culture by adhering to the WorkSafe BC requirements
  • Order materials and equipment required for site installation and coordinate manpower requirements
  • Ensure compliance with quality control and inspection
  • Act as the liaison between the Project Manager and the assigned crew
  • Monitor field productivity levels in accordance with the project budget & schedule, and adjust the team and/or tasks as required
  • Record and submit crew timesheets to the Project Manager for approval
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste/drainage systems
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 23 years of experience as a Journeyman Plumber
  • Red Seal Plumber Certification is required
  • Previous experience as a Foreman or Lead Hand directing a crew of 68 preferred
  • Previous experience working in a Mechanical Construction Company is considered an asset
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Plumbing Code
    requirements
  • Experience using MS Office products (Outlook, Excel and Word) is preferred
