SALAD KING - KITCHEN SUPERVISOR / LINE COOK
Salad King is an award winning, fast-paced Thai restaurant near OCAD (queen & mccaul).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cook delicious Thai food consistently and at speed. Positions include hot line, wok line, and grill.
- Prepping ingredients, including making curries, cutting vegetables, etc.
- Maintaining health and safety standards of the restaurant.
- Opening & closing the restaurant, as needed.
- Managing, teaching, and mentoring a small Kitchen team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3 years experience in food service or a commercial kitchen.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Full schedule availability (any day of week, daytime or evening). Limited schedule accommodations may be considered. Late hours are NOT required. Our restaurant typically currently closes by 9:30PM.
- Must be able to communicate in English. Fluency is not required by highly desired.
- Must be able to work under periods of extreme pressure in a calm professional manner
- Must be able to stand and work in a kitchen for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and frequently bend and twist from the waist
- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada. LMIA support is available for those who are in the Country and have a valid work permit or study permit.
REMUNERATION & HOURS:
- Fulltime hourly position:
- 2 weeks paid vacation (4% vacation pay) to start. Increasing to 3 weeks (6%) at 5 years, and 4 weeks (8%) at 10 years.
- Annual salary review, based on business and individual performance. Typically indexed to the Consumer Price Index.
- Paid meals and breaks are included.
Pay:
$19.50-$21.00 per hour
