Taber Special Needs Society has been in existence since 1987. The Society provides support to adults with developmental disabilities.

We are hiring a part time community disability support worker to provide support to a woman in her own home.

She enjoys socializing, playing cards and crafting. Your key responsibilities would be supporting with healthy cooking and meals, achieving personal goals, and connecting with her community.

Hours of support are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5 pm to 8 pm with - 4 hours on the weekend.

This is a part-time permanent position of hours per week.

What you will need in addition to being a fun-loving, team player:

18 years of age or older
A valid class 5 driver's license and a reliable vehicle with proof of $2 million liability insurance
A clean criminal record check with the vulnerable persons sector check
High School Diploma or equivalent
Proficient in verbal and written English

Experience in the disability sector or health sector is an asset, but not necessary as we provide all training necessary.
