Title – Databricks Instructor

Job Type – Freelance/Contract Trainer

Location - You will be based from your home and deliver virtual classes in addition to traveling to training centres and customers sites throughout Canada.

What we are looking for

NIIT is looking for an instructor to deliver high-quality training to clients, internals and partners on Databricks trainings courses.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Teach Databricks Training classes, both in a virtual environment and in person
• Secondary Job Responsibilities:
• Guide discussions with customers to scope training needs
• Participate in internal projects and new course pilots
• To act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for course material design and help curriculum team in reviewing the learning content and identifying errors in the materials.

Mandatory experience:

• 5+ years of computer industry experience and 3+ years of instruction experience
• Databricks certifications or ability to certify within 60 days of being onboarded.
• Solid background in Data Analysis, Data Engineering ( emphasis on Apache Spark and Python) or/and Machine Learning
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels throughout the organization
• Exceptional course facilitation and management skills
• Willingness to travel away from home if needed.
• Team-oriented with initiative, positive attitude, and enthusiasm
• Demonstrated ability to work on your own and as a member of a collaborative team
• Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese and English.

The following experience would greatly help your application:

• Delivered trainings on Data Analysis, Data engineering or Machine learning modules.
• Experience providing training on the internet through a virtual training environment
