  • In the role of Logistics Coordinator, your main objective will be to ensure that product is shipped as required and all freight claims, variances, damages, debits, shortages, etc. are identified, investigated, and documented. Continuously monitor and follow all company policies and procedures while working with managers and supervisors to actively seek continuous improvements within all departments._

Additional Functions:


  • Review GPS on trucks/trailers and work with Shipping Manager to ensure all trucks/trailers are identified/located daily.
  • Review current Chep Pallet Procedures and make/implement recommendations for improvements (ongoing)
  • Review Weekly Chep Invoices and reports to verify accuracy, identify patterns/outages, and report findings to Supervisors.
  • Coordinate Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Chep cycle counts
  • BC, Alberta, and Manitoba.
  • Multisite responsibilities and liaising with team members.
  • Cross train on other functions within the department to allow for flexibility and better understanding of all processes and Holiday coverage.
  • Review late orders.
  • Vacation/ absence relief as required.
  • Other duties as required/assigned.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in Logistics, Freight, or Inventory Control is an asset, or relevant education.
  • Strong emphasis on computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel).
  • Syspro experience is an asset.
  • Weekend accessibility (cell phone provided/compensated as required)
  • Strong mathematical and organization skills.
  • Ability to use and learn Warehouse Management System.
  • Must be dependable and hold an above average attendance record.
  • Possess strong critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Continuous learner and willingness to embrace change.
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision and under pressure.
  • Good negotiating skills
