Why this role, and why now?


We recently closed a $3.5MM round of financing to fuel growth and become the market leader in our focus market: skeletal traction procedures at U.S.

trauma centers.

In this market, our complete surgical solution for skeletal traction helps save time for busy surgeons and ER staff, ultimately improving ER throughput (a hot-button topic in 2023) and saving money for hospitals.

We currently have 28 Trauma Centers using our product and aim to reach #1 market share by 2025. We will also be launching two additional complementary products in 2024.


We need our Clinical Education Specialist role to help us handle the increasing volume of customers and sales reps requiring product training, and to lead product implementations and demonstrations at hospitals across North America.


Role Description
As a Clinical Training Specialist, you will report to the Director of Sales.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead product implementations and make sure the customer is utilizing Arbutus Medical products effectively on a daily basis.

You will meet our clients and communicate the value of Arbutus Medical's product lines, including technical features and benefits on patient care, to ensure full utilization.

You will also provide training to outside sales representatives ensuring they understand all features and benefits of the products, and support sales representatives when demonstrating our products to prospects.


Your Responsibilities

  • Run key demonstrations for customers alongside a sales rep
  • Run product implementations at newly signed hospitals
  • Ensure that the customers are continuously using our product by monitoring usage
  • Educate sales consultants and reps on product features and functionality
  • Assist in new account launch activities, including but not limited to: training health care professionals, creating contact lists with key points of contact, designing new Emergency Department workflows
  • Create and deliver business review presentations
  • Monitor and address drops in utilizations
  • Perform routine "health checks" to monitor customer success qualitatively
  • Retrain institutions as required due to turnover
  • Convert residents into future users
  • Develop and maintain active lines of communication to gather product and account feedback
  • Import incoming resident classes into CRM and ensure they are properly trained to use Arbutus Medical products

Requirements:


Desired Experience & Capabilities

  • Commitment to always deliver exceptional customer service
  • Natural disposition to enjoy teaching groups and maintain a friendly, approachable attitude
  • Ability to persevere in uncertain situations
  • 3 years of training, sales and/or business development experience in a B2B environment
  • Strong inperson presentation skills and ability to build rapport quickly
  • Detailoriented, analytical, and capable of handling a high volume of data
  • Technical skills (Google sheets/excel skills, experience automating systems)
  • Capable and experienced traveler, meeting travel requirements across North America and willing to be on the road up to 75% of your time
  • Nice to have:
  • Background in Clinical / Orthopedic, medical device, pharmaceutical sales or equivalent
  • Previous use of CRM
