Description

The CanCap Group ("CanCap") is a privately-owned Canadian national financial services company with multiple verticals across automotive, consumer, and merchant lending portfolios.

We manage the entire lifecycle of the finance receivable from credit adjudication through to contract administration, customer service, default management and post charge-off recoveries.


We are seeking a resourceful and forward-thinking Records Management Analyst who will lead a special project to enhance our records management framework and will lead the activities, in collaboration with IT and business lines, in ensuring our departmental and company files are being handled in line with leading industry standards and aligned to relevant retention periods.

The incumbent will support the Business Lines in the development and implementation of action plans for records management related activities.


Key Deliverables

  • Managing the development and execution of document and records management policy and practices
  • Owning delivery of special project for review, analysis, and execution of departmental file share clean up
  • Monitoring industry trends and the regulatory environment for all business lines for record management
  • Supporting all business units and functional areas within CanCap for records management
  • Supporting the Director of Compliance and Business Heads in understanding requirements for and managing records
  • Developing a robust record retention schedule for CanCap
  • Contributing to a positive team and company culture

What you will bring

  • Experience with records management processes and related retention schedules
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to develop and lead a project involving multiple stakeholders and meet key milestones
  • Ability to interact effectively with members of all levels of the organization

Required Skills:


  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Sharepoint
  • Project delivery
  • Policy development and documentation
  • University Degree or College Diploma

Additional Information


This is currently a hybrid work from home and in office position, with 1-2 days in office at our Mississauga or Toronto location.

This could change based on the needs of the business.
