Reporting to the Specialist, Asset Gatekeeper, the Planner is accountable for developing high quality job work packages to be used for the execution of Maintenance and Project activities.
The individual in this position needs to have the motivation necessary to contribute positively to a fast paced and dynamic team environment, have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work with mínimal supervision.
This position requires the individual to work at a computer as well as to verify conditions, measurements, etc. in the operating plant.This position is located at our Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada site and is not eligible for remote work.
What you will do:
- Applies actual field condition information, relevant technical data, trade knowledge, personal experience, and where appropriate, input from maintenance, operations, and technical resources to develop high quality executable plans
- Ensures all plans developed are consistent with the Nutrien Planning Standards. This will include safety procedures, maintenance standards/procedures, identification of required resources, estimated task durations, materials, equipment, and services required to execute the work identified
- Develops and maintains task lists and bills of materials, as well as set up spare parts for stock/nonstock, to ensure complete and accurate records consistent with Nutrien planning standards
- Communicates with vendors and/or purchasing department to source parts and lead times
- Reports on his/her progress on a weekly basis and communicate any issues that are preventing plans from progressing
- Assembles fully planned work into formal job packages when required for transport to Maintenance Groups and Projects Group for execution
- Supports maintenance trades on the tools, as needed
What you will bring:
- High School Diploma
- Journeyperson ticket, preferably Millwright
- 10+ years' experience in an industrial process setting
- Experience with SAP, planning and scheduling principles are an asset
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
