SEGULA TECHNOLOGIES is assisting a major automotive OEM in hiring an
Active Chassis and Actuation - Subject Matter Expert to join our growing team in
Windsor, ON.



Job Description:


As the SME in Active Chassis and Actuation, you will collaborate with various cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to develop and optimize Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Braking Actuation Module, Wheel Speed Sensors, and Clutch/Brake pedal sensor/switch components.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with Electronic Component Groups, Suppliers, Purchasing, Quality, and Assembly Plants to achieve functional, cost, and weight targets.
  • Updating specifications and requirements in accordance with best practices.
  • Developing strategies for the future roadmap of Active Chassis Components in coordination with interfacing groups.
  • Mentoring Design Release Engineers (DRE) to ensure consistent product knowledge and development practices.
  • Coordinating with Global Subject Matter Experts to identify component commonalities, cost reduction opportunities, and warranty improvements.
  • Supporting activities such as AQP, PSO, product launch, and problem resolution during vehicle launch phases.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Automotive, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Indepth knowledge of Electronic Stability Control systems.
  • Calibration and diagnostic experience using typical automotive controls system development environments.
  • Intermediate knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN networks, Electrical/EMC requirements, Environmental requirements, FMEA, functional safety analysis
  • ISO 26262 norm, etc.).
  • Intermediate knowledge of automotive vehicle mechanical and electrical system architectures (e.g., distributed control systems).
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles, hardware and software design concepts.
  • Familiarity with testing and validation tools.
  • Proven track record of interpreting design requirements and transitioning to production.
  • Experience and proficiency in change management processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Preferred qualifications include a strong teamoriented mindset, selfmotivation, proactive selfstarter, program management skills, and goal/targetoriented discipline.
