Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring a healthy and safe environment for the hospital staff, patients, volunteers, physicians and visitors which includes ensuring protection of hospital possessions and property; performing routine checks of systems and equipment and other duties as assigned.
Graduate of a Community College Law and Security Program, or a graduate of a recognized police training facility or equivalent.
Three years of previous experience in dealing with the general public in a law and/or security role - preferred.
Current use of force and/or non-violent crisis intervention training an asset.
Skills and Abilities
Excellent customer service along with maintaining confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and public relations skills
Displays and participates in team concept.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
Demonstrates excellent organizational and time-management skills in a stressful work environment
Ability to follow instructions, prioritize and multi-task.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and willingness to be flexible to meet department needs.
Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.

Hours of Work:
In order to provide the necessary patient care, our operations run 24/7. There is the expectation that you are available to work weekdays, weekends and all shifts.
Other:
