Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress
- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements
- Select trade subcontractors and coordinate their activities
- Plan and manage budgets
- Oversee the analysis of data and information
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
- Prepare reports
- Public liaison and media relations
- Project cash flow and financing requirements
- Prepare marketing materials
- Ensure that construction permits are obtained
- Ensure safety procedures are followed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in energy or a related field
- Fall Arrest Protection Training Course and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
- Experience in energy and utilities, systems analysis or operations, or engineering professional and construction management (EPCM)
- Knowledge of power distribution and transmission lines, renewable resources, and power generation, transmission, or distribution
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Flexibility, judgment, and attention to detail
- Own tools/equipment including a hard hat, steeltoed safety boots, and cellular phone
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly
This is a permanent part-time position that may lead to full-time work, with a salary range of $50,000 to $60,000 annually to be negotiated.
