Job description
We're a growing Shopify-based brand looking for an experienced Google My Business + Google Shopping specialist to help us clean up, optimize, and properly connect everything.
This is not a beginner role. We need someone who understands how Google actually works behind the scenes and can troubleshoot errors efficiently.Scope of Work
You will help with the following:
Google My Business
Optimize and clean up our Google My Business profile
Ensure correct business info, categories, images, and descriptions
Improve visibility and setup best practices
Identify and fix any issues affecting performance
Google Shopping via Shopify
Connect and properly configure Google Merchant Center with Shopify
Troubleshoot product feed issues (e.g. missing barcodes/GTINs, sync errors, policy warnings)
Ensure products are approved and eligible for Google Shopping
Configure settings correctly for a brand that does not use barcodes
Verify Google sales channels are set up correctly in Shopify
General
Diagnose and explain what's wrong (clearly, in plain English)
Make fixes directly or guide us step-by-step if needed
Ensure everything is compliant with Google policies
Requirements
Proven experience with Shopify + Google Merchant Center
Strong understanding of Google My Business
Experience resolving:
"Missing barcode / GTIN" errors
Product feed disapprovals
Google Shopping sync issues
Clear communicator (we want to understand what's being fixed)
Detail-oriented and efficient
Nice to Have:
Experience with small brands or ecommerce businesses
Familiarity with Google Ads (not required, but a plus)
Project Details
One-time setup + troubleshooting to start
Potential for ongoing work if it's a great fit
Budget flexible for the right expert.
