    The role of the Sales Director is to manage the assigned territory, direct and coordinate the company's strategies and oversee all business aspects of this territory.

    The candidate also works with the company's administrative representatives as well as the strategic development and production teams to achieve organizational goals.

    • Supervising the activities of the representatives responsible for promoting the products, for the achievement of the company's objectives, for the training of contractors and for the quality of product installation.
    • Implementing the key plans necessary to achieve SOPREMA's objectives within the territory, especially the regional strategic plan, the annual business plan and the annual budgets;
    • Determining, through the annual budget, the expected sales volume. The volume depends on the size of the market and on the growth potential established by the regional sales managers and the Sales Director;
    • Communicating issues related to products or systems to members of the Technical Department. Communicating questions related to the development of products and systems to members of the Strategic Development Department to meet the needs of the territorial industry;
    • Supervising the activities of technicians in the region (for example, site visits, support to customers, and administration of existing training programs in collaboration with SOPREMA's Technical Department);
    • Providing recommendations for staffing and strategic orientation within the territory;
    • Completing other tasks according to the needs established by the Sales Vice President in charge of the region

    • Bachelor of Business Administration or Engineering
    • Management training (MBA an asset)

    Working conditions

    • In this position, it is necessary to travel regularly to various areas of the territory, in Canada as well as abroad. The Sales Director can expect to travel several days per month.
    • The Sales Director must attend meetings during the evening and on weekends. These meetings are necessary to fulfill the requirements of the position.
    • The work schedule may be irregular, according to circumstances.
    Physical requirements

    • The Sales Director will occasionally visit sites, and, every now and then, descend into trenches or tunnels and climb ladders to access roofs.
