We're looking for an amazing Regional Manager to lead half our stores in Ontario

At Bailey Nelson our Regional Managers are accountable for their store's culture and core values being alive and well.

They oversee their store portfolio for the region and are responsible for maintaining exceptional customer experience in store and maintaining a high standard of knowledgeable teams about optics and product.

The Bailey Nelson regional manager is also responsible for maintaining operational excellence and consistency between stores so they can run smoothly and efficiently.

Removing any roadblocks and coaching our Store Managers so they can achieve their financial plan.

They are enrolled in the annual goals and able to create a regional strategy and plan to contribute to the overall company goals.


The Regional Manager is accountable for all aspects of regional performance including hiring, developing and leading our amazing store managers in the successful growth of their stores from a people, profit, operations and technical skills perspective.

The Regional Manager, through the teaching of others, establishes Bailey Nelson as the "go to" for all the vision needs of the communities we are part of and ensures we gain market share in their region.

This role is accountable to drive both topline and profitability growth, delivering key performance metrics through the brand proposition ensuring flawless execution of superior customer experience, establishing high standards of performance and operational excellence through exceptional high performing talent and adherence to all policies and procedures.


Key responsibilities are:

  • Recruitment, onboarding and development of SM's
  • Pipeline management and ensuring we have a healthy pipeline to continue to expand store portfolio
- identifies gaps with store teams and creating action plan or supplement training to close gaps
- provides ongoing and consistent feedback/coaching of SM's on leadership, performance, customer experience

  • Responsible for rollouts weekly and updates on business/process changes that affect stores or customers
  • Ensures weekly sales targets and KPI's are being met
  • Work with finance partners on sales plans for all stores within region
  • Approve expenses for all stores
  • P and L statements coming in at plan and managing controllable expenses
  • Able to spot trends in product and moving product within their region so all stores are properly assorted with what they need
  • Working with product partners and head of retail to identify gaps or opportunities to drive additional sales
  • Overseeing hours management and holding store teams accountable to their hours budgets
- oversee store operations and ensure stores are supported to run smoothly day to day

  • Troubleshoot service repair issues (lighting, music, wifi, equipment maintenance)
  • Working with Optometrists and SMs to ensure cohesive relationship and strategy in place to drive results and grow the business
  • Partner with brand for clear window and VM messaging
  • Operationally sound rollout and success of promotions or sales Friday or boxing week) clear communication with store teams with advanced notice
- overseeing inventory management and counts - making sure things are accurate and stores are stocked appropriately (this includes product, bags, cases, accessories, propping, etc)

  • Going on site visits for new retail locations and providing feedback, support, coaching on locations
  • Teaches and coaches Store Manager to achieve goals and foster execution of best practices for growth.
  • Leads teams through effective performance management to include activities that ensure goals are consistently being met or exceeded.
  • Builds a bench of talent internally and externally to be ready for placement.
  • Analyzes the business, creating and communicating clear action plans that optimize results.
  • Leads and drives quality and improvement in the region to deliver on all key performance indicators.
  • Ensures the protection of all company assets, and that policies and practices are being followed consistently.
  • Models the behaviors and is accountable for the store delivery of a consistent and brand right patient and customer experience.
  • Inspires team growth through individual development plans to promote an environment of personal growth and accountability.
  • Creates an inspiring and inclusive work environment reflective of the brand.
  • Works weekends and evenings as required in support of the business needs, taking responsibility for the optimal running of the store and ensuring goals are met.
  • Works cross functionally with our Canadian and Australian partners to make sure we are working cohesively as a Global company.
