Primary Duties:
- Responsible for performing the required tests on all production batches made in the mixing facility to ensure that only Quality material is released to our customers.
- Comparing results of this material to the required specifications and issuing promptly the approval of all conforming material and notifying promptly the supervisor of all noncompliance material.
- Observation of test data and notifying QA Supervisor and / or production supervisor of trends
- Rheologic MDR testing on every finished production batch
- Viscometer MV Testing completing the required testing as per specification sheets for MV and scorch (T5) testing) on every production batch
- Durometer testing prepare buttons, test for hardness, compare to specifications and manually log all results in LoMos
- Using Braebender extruder to make ribbons to perform the dispersion testing, retaining ribbons and archiving monthly.
- Microscope to investigate any dispersion issues / Quality concerns.
- Operation of Densitech, manually logging results in LoMos to retain data.
- Testing of all extrusion material after tubing process testing, logging batch numbers in LoMos to maintain traceability from original batch identification to the new identification
- Ensuring accuracy of reporting of nonconforming material in LoMos system.
- Ensuring proper procedures followed for containment when resampling and retesting nonconforming material and the before and after batches
- Testing and distributing records of all lab developmental batches.
- Daily correlations of lab test equipment to ensure machines are within the required tolerance.
- Weekly Maintenance of Lab Test Equipment to ensure machines are cleaned, calibrated and acceptable for use. (scrub dies, replace seals, clean filters on fans etc)
- Customer concern testing.
- Complete retesting of all customer concerns, MDR's, MV's, T5's, Ribbons, Densities, and Durometers.
- Any additional testing as requested on LTR's submitted by Chemists, MDR's, MV's, T5's, Ribbons, Densities, and Durometers.
- Maintaining system for First/Last Off Sample retention and document retention for Nisco compounds.
- Maintaining system for retaining First Off sheets from production, archived monthly and retained minimum of 1 year.
- Responsible for performing and managing above duties in compliance with the current International Standard that the facility is registered and certified under as part of the facility's Quality Management System
- Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, the Workers Safety Insurance Act and the Cooper Standard Automotive Health, Safety and Environment Procedures.
- Other duties as required by supervisor

$21.00 per hour
