    Smart, Savvy + Associates is pleased to partner with our client, a world-class hospitality organization with multiple elegant locations, in their search for a Marketing Director. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, this role leads marketing and brand strategy, and oversees day-to-day activities that increase brand awareness, sales and revenue.

    About the workplace
    This is an in-office role that requires working from our client's office in Vancouver, BC. Given the industry, some work out of business hours and approximately 10% travel is required. Relocation assistance provided for out-of-town candidates.

    About the role

    • Lead, mentor and develop a Marketing department of four team members.
    • Devise and implement annual marketing plans and campaigns at both individual restaurant and group levels.
    • Collaborate closely with our culinary experts and restaurant directors to coordinate marketing initiatives and foster synergy across all brands.
    • Translate overarching brand strategies into actionable brand plans, positioning strategies, and go-to-market tactics.
    • Assist in organizing and executing promotional events, both on and off-site.
    • Leverage successful local marketing endeavors to inform broader brand-level initiatives.
    • Develop and execute social media campaigns and engagement strategies.
    • Oversee influencer outreach programs, scheduling visits and managing relationships.
    • Identify and cultivate partnerships to diversify revenue streams.
    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, service providers, and industry trends to enhance our online, mobile, and interactive presence, thereby increasing revenue potential.
    • Proactively provide recommendations and adhere to established brand strategies to enhance visual and content development, meet performance targets, and streamline operations.
    • Supervise social media platforms, websites, applications, email campaigns, and search marketing efforts for all restaurants.
    • Monitor online reputation and generate social media performance reports.
    The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 plus bonus, extended healthcare benefits, paid time off, and more. About you
    • 8+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the food and beverage or restaurant industry
    • 2+ years of team leadership experience
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Passion about hospitality, cuisine and quality service
    • Interest in being part of a team to create world-class unique dining experiences
    • Demonstrated innovation with the ability to thrive in non-traditional work environments
