The Job


Panel Upholsterers in our Panel Systems Team upholster fabric onto our panel systems. They are responsible for preparing raw materials for the tiles, using glue to adhere the fabric to the tile, and ensuring quality standards of products. They are also responsible for consistently adhering to Health & Safety and Tayco policies.

Pay Rate: $21.80 per hour

Hours of Work: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Requirements


Tayco is seeking passionate candidates possessing the following experience and competencies:

  • Able to operate hand/power tools (drills, glue machines, etc.)
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to take initiative and demonstrate proactive problem solving in daily work
  • Able to multi-task and adapt to changing conditions
  • Works well with others and builds effective working relationships within the department and Tayco
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them, as well as move, bend, twist or occasional awkward body positions while performing work
  • Has good hand-eye coordination and muscular control sufficient to operate tools or equipment and see closely/listen intently in order to detect flaws or errors and achieve detailed results
  • Able to understand and follow established personal safety, security, and environmental practices. Is knowledgeable of and compliant with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Must be trained in Health & Safety
  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment is recommended
