Part-time ESL Teacher
Kells students come from all corners both of Montreal and of the world. They represent a variety of cultures and cultural perspectives. Therefore, at Kells, we strive to create and maintain a sense of community that helps students feel included.

Responsibilities

• Teach intermediate ESL classes to multiple high school grade levels
• Attend and contribute to team meetings
• Attend required school events beyond the school day, such as Open House, curriculum night, and parentteacher interviews
• Take advantage of professional development opportunities
• Communicate regularly with administration, parents and students regarding student progress
• Complete supervisions and other duties as assigned by the school principal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ESL or in education; Master's preferred
• CELTA ESL instructional training if no degree in ESL, PASS A/B preferred
• Strong teaching background, including training and experience, in ESL
• Successful experience working with a diverse student population
• Quebec teaching license preferred

Schedule and Accountability

• Approximately 50% of fulltime

• Starting January 202

• Teaching and supervisory responsibilities fall mainly within the regular school day (8:00 am 3:00 pm) Monday through Friday
• Reports to the principal
