Laborer Job Central Alberta - Must have a full Class 5 license not a GDL.

A construction laborer or construction worker does physical labor on construction sites. They may prepare sites by cleaning them, loading, or unloading materials and removing hazards.

A general laborer may also run some types of equipment or put together and take apart the chipper to ready it for transport.

They are essential to Ant Constructions road and maintenance crew.

As a busy construction company, we are looking for dedicated laborers to join the team.

You could be responsible to for operating and maintaining machines, load, and unloading of materials, you must be able to follow directions from supervisors and other skilled workers.

To do well in this role you should be physically fit, reliable, hard worker, and a team player.

Construction Laborer Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Operate and care for construction equipment and tools.
  • Help equipment operators and others when necessary.
  • Load and unload construction materials.
  • Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
  • Put together and take apart chipper to ready it for work or transport.
  • Remove, fill, or compact earth.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Assist other workers
  • Ready to lean from onthejob training when necessary
  • Preform site clean ups.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous tasks.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Report all incidents, near misses to company safety.
  • Promote, execute, and adhere to the company's safety program.

Job Type:
Seasonal

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour
