Description
Brandt is currently seeking a Legal Assistant for our Head Office location in Regina, SK.

The Legal Assistant will provide administrative support to the Brandt Legal Group.

You will be a key member of the Brandt Legal Group by supporting a team of lawyers on both corporate/commercial and litigation matters, reporting to the Chief Legal Officer and Senior Paralegal.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Respond to daily inquiries from counsel and internal clients and handle daytoday corporate and administrative matters;
  • Support the Brandt Legal Group by preparing, drafting, and reviewing documents and correspondence as required and by managing routine tasks to maximize efficient use of the Brandt Legal Group's time;
  • Assist the Brandt Legal Group by creating, maintaining, and storing precedents and templates that are easy to retrieve and that adhere to a high standard of readability and professionalism;
  • Organize and maintain accurate records for filing and diary systems and word processing;
  • Maintain minute books and handle corporate filings required to keep Brandt and its subsidiaries in good standing. You will assist in the preparation and filing of required corporate documents, drafting resolutions, and any other related corporate matters;
  • Process legal invoicing and costs to accounts payable departments.
  • Conduct searches and prepare registrations at Land Titles, Personal Property Registry and Corporate Registry offices as required by Legal and other business units; and
  • Assist with other administrative responsibilities as required.

Required Skills:


  • Have a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience as a legal assistant (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Having experience using online registries (land titles, corporate, personal property) and are familiar with conducting online searches is not necessary but is considered an asset.
  • Honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • Wellorganized and capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication, conflict resolution and relationship management skills to engage others, build consensus and resolve issues.
  • Able to manage a high volume of work in a fastpaced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
