Description

Sardis Contracting LTD located in Chilliwack is currently looking for a carpenter apprentice.

Must have basic knowledge on how to read, understand, and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures. Work will be outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must adhere to WCB safety standards and follow site specific safety requirements.

• 2 to 3 years minimum relevant experience in carpentry trade
• Ability to take initiative and be proactive on the job progress
• Capable of completing physical work, including heavy lifting of 50+ lbs
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, materials and installation practices common to carpentry trade
• Possess high problem solving skills
• Possess professional customer service skills
• Driver's license
• Basic hand tools
• Openminded, sharp, and detailoriented team player with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and communicate with team members and clients.
• On

- the-job training will be provided

• Working knowledge and experience in interpreting architectural and structural drawings.
• Experience in carpentry is required
• Cabinet install experience (preferred)
• Demonstrates the proper use, care, and attention to tools and equipment.
• Excellent time management skills, capable of working independently without direct supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in all climatic conditions, displaying good manual dexterity, physical strength, and stamina.
• Sound understanding of safety policies and a commitment to safe work practices.
