The Respite Coordinator assists in the development and promotion of a range of respite and home share services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

SCHEDULE/HRS:

Monday - Friday (8:00 - 16:00) // 37.5 hours per week

  • Hours are typically Mon-Fri with occasional Saturday and some flexibility required to meet family/caregiver needs._

HOURLY WAGE:

$31.

41 as per collective agreement
Education & Experience:


  • Bachelor of Social Work, Degree in Social Sciences or other combination of education and experience relevant to job goal.
  • Minimum two years of experience in the provision of resource services to families with a member who has multiple disabilities.
  • Assessment, Counselling, and Public Relations skills experience.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Access.

Standard requirements of the Respite Coordinator include:

  • Criminal Record Clearance
  • Medical Clearance
  • Clean Driver's Abstract
  • Class 5 Driver's Licence and use of a vehicle for work
  • Valid First Aid/CPR
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification
  • Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Eligible to work in Canada
