Early Childhood Educator (Pre-Kindergarten)

Do you have a passion for children? Are you inspired to create a positive and engaging learning environment for young learners? Do you have experience in the Fine Arts which you are enthusiastic to share with children?


ArtsCalibre Academy is looking for a dynamic and creative Early Childhood Educator who is flexible and accommodating, to inspire our Pre-Kindergarten students to reach their full potential.


ArtsCalibre Academy's educational philosophy infuses leadership, the Mind Up Curriculum, and the Learning Without Tears program to facilitate literacy and numeracy.

We also follow the 7 Habits - Leader in Me program for schools, which teaches young learners how to be socially and emotionally present in all their interactions with others.


Position Description:

Facilitates creative, child-centered activities and circle time

Provides a positive and safe learning environment

Develops engaging, Fine Arts-infused programs

Collaborates with co-workers toward shared educational goals

Participates in thematic planning while infusing the Fine Arts into all lessons.


Qualifications:

Grade 12 (or equivalent)

Early Childhood Educator certification (or equivalent post-secondary courses in child development)

Current Emergency First Aid and CPR Level B/C certification

Clear Criminal Record Check (we can assist in acquiring at our expense - requirement of employment)

Excellent experience working with children aged 3-5 years with diverse exceptionalities

Excellent classroom management skills.

The position is full-time at ArtsCalibre Academy's Pre-Kindergarten facility, working with other members of our very experienced staff. The class has a maximum of 20 full-day children. There are many opportunities for outdoor exploration built into the program.
