    Job Responsibilities

    • Lead, supervise, and coordinate multiple field crews and subcontractors on various projects primarily throughout Alberta and Western Canada.
    • Ensure strict compliance with Koch-Glitsch Canada (KGC) and client environmental, health, and safety policies.
    • Plan and execute workflow directives to meet project schedules and ensure efficient and safe completion of work.
    • Oversee and support field activities, including construction, turnaround, and maintenance work on mass transfer process equipment.
    • Prepare and submit all required site documentation, reports, and communications in a timely manner.
    • Mentor and develop field personnel to uphold company standards and safety culture.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues on-site using sound judgment and problem‑solving skills.

    What Would Be Required In Your Role

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • Demonstrated leadership skills and effective team management.
    • Strong knowledge of OH&S construction industry standards and application.
    • Ability to comprehend and execute Site Manager directives with attention to detail and safety.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret mass transfer equipment drawings.
    • Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Experience with turnaround construction projects, especially involving columns and mass transfer equipment.
    • Familiarity with Koch‑Glitsch and other vendor mass transfer products and installation methods.
    • Knowledge of welding, cutting processes, pressure vessel codes, and quality control procedures.
    • Understanding of confined space entry, rigging, blinding, tower inspection, and maintenance.

    Prefered Qualifications

    • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience managing field crews and subcontractors in the refining, petrochemical, or related heavy industries.
    • Ability to read and interpret Isometric drawings and P&IDs
    • Industry standard certifications H2S alive, OSSA Confined space entry, OSSA Fall Arrest, Intermediate first aid, CSTS 2020
    • Leadership for Safety Excellence
    • First line Supervisor training
    • ICCS Certified
    • Journeyperson/Red Seal an asset but not required

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Ability to work extended hours, including days, weeks, or months away from home.
    • Work outdoors under varying weather conditions, at heights, and in confined spaces.
    • Use of breathing apparatus and respirators may be required.
    • Extensive travel across Canada may be necessary.
