    Job Description

    What You'll Do:

    Reporting to the RV Program Sales and Service Manager, you'll be responsible for:

    • Processing daily correspondences, which include reviewing, sorting, completing and routing incoming department correspondence.
    • Initiating communications and follow up requirements to clients and appropriate parties to request or verify information as required. This includes following established department procedures.
    • Reviewing all new business applications to ensure they are completed properly. Enters policy information, follow-up notes for outstanding documentation as required and processes policy cancellations.
    • Auditing and updating policy information on the broker management system and company portals to ensure accuracy of data and policies.
    • Completing administrative requests, which includes assembling information and documents, and/or making changes to policies.
    • Acting as a back-up for the Receptionist.
    • Greeting visitors in person or by telephone, and answering or refering inquiries, as required.
    • Directing visitors using the employee and department directories.
    • Answering incoming telephone calls or emails, transferring calls, and monitoring the lines.
    • Taking client payments and applying them accordingly.
    • Authorizing receipt of special deliveries and distributing documents to appropriate personnel, as required.
    • Organizing work by reviewing, sorting and routing incoming department correspondence, collecting information, forwarding cheques to the respective insurance carriers and initiating communications, as required.
    • Keeping information confidential to protect operations.
    • Performing other duties within competence, as assigned.
    Qualifications

    This is the unique blend of skills and experience we would love to see in an ideal candidate:

    • A secondary school diploma.
    • A minimum of one year's experience in an office environment.
    • A minimum of one year's experience in the insurance industry or a related field is considered an asset.
    • Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
    • Superior time management, project management and organizational skills to manage competing priorities.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
    • Experience working with Applied Epic and insurance company portals is an asset.
