Requirements:


  • Must be able to work weekends if needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check run through care at home
  • Must have CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Taking care of the client's personal hygiene needs including washing, dressing, grooming, showering, shaving, etc.
  • Changing nappies and providing basic care for the child (as needed)
  • Meal preparation, preparation of snacks, drinks, and healthy snacks (banana/orange/granola bars) for the child to enjoy during her naps (as needed)
  • Baths (if requested and needed by the parent) including cleaning, changing, and drying of all needed items in the home environment as well as at the office (if requested)
  • General assistance such as helping with laundry, helping with play activities, etc. (as needed)

From $31.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Nanaimo, BC V9R 6R6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Class 5 Licence (required)
